Staying up for days in the Chelsea Hotel

Writing 'Sad Eyed Lady of the Lowlands' for you.

If you know what thats all about, you are a Bob Dylan fan, if not.... its Bob Dylan lyrics
.
The Chelsea Hotel has been lived in by Tennesse Williams, Arthur Miller and Dylan Thomas, as well as had songs written about it by Mr Dylan. It is also where Sid  Vicious murdered his girlfriend Nancy in 1978. Now its also famous because Fred has been there.

Go Knicks!

Wow! Bears love Basketball.

My new favourite basketball team won last night at Madison Square Gardens.  The NY Knicks are bottom of the division but they managed to beat the Indiana Pacers who are top of the league. A great win, Fred is a lucky mascot.

Empire State of Fred

Wow, the Top of the Rock sure is high. 67th floor to be precise.
And Grand Central Station is awesome.

Time for a chill out back in the hotel, check out my new shirt
We're off to Madison Square Garden later tonight for NY Knicks v Indiana Pacers.
GO KNICKS.

Recharging at Battery Park

Ive been a busy bear on day 2 in NYC. After a hearty breakfast at Carnegies' ,my new favourite Deli on 7th Ave we jumped on a tour bus and headed downtown. With the weather hovering around freezing an open top bus ride meant hats and scarves for my buddies. I was pretty cosy tucked up in my backpack. A boat trip out to Liberty and Ellis islands are obligatory in New York. More posing for photos for me. Returning to Manhatten we decided to bypass the bus and walk back uptown to try and warm up. A quick stop off at our hotel before setting off again to see a show. 'Once' the musical was fantastic and a great way to spend our evening. Dinner at the Hurleys bar next door to our hotel on 48th West meant I was far to stuffed to blog before bed. Sorry. Day 3 is here already. Bring it on.

Hello New York

Thanks Mr Branson for getting us to NYC in your little aeroplane safe and sound. After a quick freshen up in our Hotel just off Times Square we felt obliged to seek out the nearest Irish hostelry to celebrate St Pattys' day with a glass of the black stuff. A quick wander round Midtown and some dinner at the Hard Rock Cafe and its time to hit the sack, Fred is a very tired bear. Tomorrow the adventure begins.
We wanna wake up in a city that never sleeps. Thats after we've all had a good nights sleep of course.
